National Anarchists can have many differing views between themselves but one facet that has been universal is our opposition to the continued deployment of U.S. troops in Iraq and meddling with other Middle Eastern countries.  The foreign policy measure that the neo-conservative and liberal establishment is an abomination.  The reasons for going in there for the first place were lies, the reasons for staying over there longer are lies, and the people that "support" perpetual war are the living embodiment of deception or outright fools.  It would be desirable if there were an honest opposition to this outrage but sadly that too is non existent.  When the Democratic party was swept  into  Congressional power in 2006 many spectators and indeed many voters believed that the new Congress would show some spine in regards to the Iraqi conflict but all too often the Democratic party is under the spell of some mysterious influence that prevents an open and candid discussion about the facts of the situation.  At this point in time it's hard to not conclude that Democrats merely believe that they would run the war "better" then their conservative partners.  Few serious commentators believe that the Democrats will radically change the American foreign policy if they win the White House in 2008.  In fact the front runners of the Democratic party appear to be "in the know" of something that normal Americans do not, perhaps the impending invasion of Iran that everyone and their grandmother is talking about.  Surely someone has to benefit from actions that will surely destroy thousands of more lives in the Middle East?  The obvious finger to point to, Israel, is an all but sacrosanct name in the main stream media, for reasons that are well known in the corporate controlled media. 

What Americans should be asking themselves is that if this is what their government is going to do in their name, with or without their consent, in the name of Democrats and Republicans, is just how much of their country is in control of the citizens in which it represents?  And I don't mean what citizens can do merely by voting, it is pretty much obvious that voting is fixed for certain outcomes in America.  National Anarchists have come to the conclusion that there is nothing in the Federal and probably State governments worth believing in any more.  Our stance is that the people whom we identify with as countrymen, community members, and friends and family is the true nation for which we stand for.  This nation has no interest in propping up puppet governments in the Middle East or elsewhere to do our bidding.  Neither does our nation have any mutual interest with authorities that speak in our name without representation (lawyers who are appointed for life on a court in Washington D.C. are not of us).  No, what we want and what we demand is to choose for ourselves who our nation is.  We believe in the honor, tradition, and loyalty to the bonds that are meaningful for our communities and we believe that the Federal government as it exists today should be repealed.  As such we continue the primordial American tradition of rebelling against unjust authority and promoting a life of liberty among equals, among those whom we choose to be equals with.  This is why we are against the war, the lies, and the injustice that is being carried out in the name of Americans across the globe.  For this cause we sand united in oppressive government and tyranny of stupidity.  We reject the invisible influences that are destroying this country and the world we inhabit for the conquest of oil profits.

Some people wonder just what National Anarchists are for and what we're against.  There can be confusion about new political movements and National Anarchism along with the New Right is known to have all sorts of names thrown at it with little basis in fact.  It should be stated that all National Anarchists have their own views about many subjects and what is true for one will not be true for another.  This is not a complete and comprehensive or listed in any particular order but it should be enough to help clear up some misconceptions.

Fascism, liberalism, neo-conservatives, globalization, communism, capitalism, Nutzism (also known as Nazism), big government, politicians, corporate media, Israel, Hollywood, cultural piracy, hip hop, Americanism, fast food, child labor, Labour Parties, patriotism, monarchy, terrorism, Antifa, materialism, Affirmative Action, gay bashing, insurance companies, banks, fundamentalism, dogmatic traditionalism, unfettered immigration, cultural invasions, wars, oil companies, slavish political dogma, global warming, universalism, internationalism, modern feminism, American foreign policy, political correctness, fake opposition parties such as the Democrats, the ruling classes of North America and Europe, and labor unions.

Things we like:

Tradition, free speech, liberty, cultural identity, Prussianism, environmentalism, independent music, time away from work, organic food, hierarchy, as little government as possible, the right to privacy, small towns, personal integrity, standing up for what you believe in, non conformists, self-education, home schooling, sustainable communities, political philosophy, meta-history, revolutionary art, culture jamming, open source software, pro family community policies, communitarian economy, decentralization, self-determination for all peoples, the Greek polis, smashing stereotypes, religious values, anti-individualism, community volunteering, cultural pride, and activism.

Troy Southgate is the English Revolutionary well known for his work in the International Third Position, National Revolutionary Faction, the New Right, and National Anarchism and various music projects.

The book is entitled, "Tradition and Revolution Collected Writings of Troy Southgate" and it sounds like it will certainly be a very intriguing book according to the chapter list recently announced by Integral Tradition Publishers at this link.

Invasive species is a phrase with many definitions. The first definition expresses the phrase in terms of non-indigenous species (e.g. plants or animals) that adversely effect the habitats they invade economically, environmentally or ecologically.

Ecological impacts

Biological species invasions alter ecological systems in a multitude of ways. Worldwide an estimated 80% of endangered species could suffer losses due to competition with or predation by invasive species.^[28] Pimentel also reports that introduced species, such as corn, wheat, rice, and other food crops, and cattle, poultry, and other livestock, now provide more than 98% of the U.S. food system at a value of approximately $800 billion per year."^[28] As highly adaptable and generalized species are introduced to environments already impacted by human activities, some native species may be put at a disadvantage to survive while other species survival is enhanced.

Genetic pollution

Purebred naturally evolved region specific wild species can be threatened with extinction in a big way through the process of Genetic Pollution i.e. uncontrolled hybridization, introgression and Genetic swamping which leads to homogenization or replacement of local genotypes as a result of either a numerical and/or fitness advantage of introduced plant or animal^[35]. Nonnative species can bring about a form of extinction of native plants and animals by hybridization and introgression either through purposeful introduction by humans or through habitat modification, bringing previously isolated species into contact. These phenomena can be especially detrimental for rare species coming into contact with more abundant ones where the abundant ones can interbreed with them swamping the entire rarer gene pool creating hybrids thus driving the entire original purebred native stock to complete extinction. Attention has to be focused on the extent of this under appreciated problem that is not always apparent from morphological (outward appearance) observations alone. Some degree of gene flow may be a normal, evolutionarily constructive process, and all constellations of genes and genotypes cannot be preserved however, hybridization with or without introgression may, nevertheless, threaten a rare species' existence^.

Health impacts

An increasing threat of exotic diseases exists due to increased transportation and encroachment of humans into previously remote ecosystems that can lead to new associations between a disease and a human host (e.g., AIDS virus in human host. Introduced birds (e.g. pigeons), rodents and insects (e.g. mosquitoes, fleas, lice and tsetse fly) can serve as vectors and reservoirs of human diseases. Throughout recorded history epidemics of human diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, typhus, and plague have been associated with these vectors. A recent example of an introduced disease is the spread of the West Nile virus across North America resulting in human deaths and in the deaths of many birds, mammals, and reptiles.  Waterborne disease agents, such as Cholera bacteria (Vibrio cholerae), and causative agents of harmful algal blooms are often transported via ballast water. The full range of impacts of invasive species and their control goes beyond immediate effects and can have long term public health implications. For instance, pesticides applied to treat a particular pest species could pollute soil and surface water.

      Hopefully, this site is the start of serious political and ideological activism amongst the small but growing legion of Third Positionists, National Anarchists, New Rightists, and others who feel similar alienation from the existing socio-economic and political system in this society. The Bay Area desperately needs a dose of hard-core National Anarchist common sense solutions to the myriad of social problems we witness every day around us. The Bay Area has the highest cost of living in the country while good-paying jobs are lost every day to cheap Third World labor markets, and working and middle-class Bay Area residents are forced to flee to Sacramento, or out of state, in order to find affordable housing. The homeless situation becomes worse, while dithering political prostitutes like Gavin Newsom hither and dither over arcane details, and cheap photo-ops, and people are suffering and dying on the streets around us. Neither Democrats nor Republicans, Libertarians or Marxists, offer any constructive or workable solutions to these and other pressing issues of the day. Our Youth turn to drugs, gangs, and other forms of self-destructive behavior because of the sheer meaninglessness of our vapid, consumer-driven lifestyle, and the incessant demand to compete, compete, compete. Our elderly are many times, left alone to their own devices, or dumped in sub-standard nursing homes to be "cared" for by sullen and underpaid foreigners, who often don't even speak English. The powers that be are concerned with petty rules and social control, i.e. anti-smoking statutes, the "war on drugs," and so forth, while we are subjected to big-brother style surveillance cameras recording our every moves throughout San Francisco and many other Bay Area cities. Enough is enough.

     National Anarchism, the dynamic combination of personal liberty and autonomy, within a holistic and communitarian setting is the only alternative. the bankrupt ideologies and failed political movements from the past few centuries have been utter failures, and have cost hundreds of millions of human lives, from Iraq to Palestine, Vietnam to the World Wars of the early 20th century, and for what? Mainly to enrich and further the interests of a small and parasitic financial-political elite. Not only has our food, water, and environment been rendered toxic, but our entire society as a whole. We cannot hope to "save" or "reform" this rotten edifice through elections, political parties, and playing games with a power structure well-equipped to either co-opt or outright destroy any potential political rivals. National Anarchism means returning power to local communities and making people, especially self-styled leaders or "experts" accountable for their actions. It means organic community not what is promoted by Television and other corporate media and entertainment outlets. It means liberation from consumerism and dog-eat-dog endless competition. National Anarchism is not pie-in-the-sky utopianism of the Marxist or global capitalist variety, but is well suited to both the possibilities as well as the limitations within human nature. National Anarchism provides the only logical, sane, and cogent solutions to ethnic and racial discord, class warfare, and environmental degradation and social anomie. National Anarchism is the liberation movement for the 21st century, minus the failures and poisonous baggage of past ideological and political failures. Join us in our exciting and dynamic quest!

 

There is an article by Nick Griffin (of Portland Oregon, not the BNP leader of the United Kingdom) entitled "National Anarchism - Trojan Horse for White Nationalism" published by Green Anarchy magazine that deserves a  reply from actual National Anarchists.  Like most failed ideologues, Nick must rely on ad hominem attacks, a heavy dose of obfuscations, and outright fabrications so as to demonize his subject and prevent a rational discussion of National Anarchism developing.  This article is written in response to his charade and to provide factual information to interested people.

In the first paragraph of his smear, Nick presents a story that may or may not be true of a National Anarchist in Portland and quickly primes his readers to his a priory conclusions of this "racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic" anarchism.  Well if it was merely so simple to call someone names, ergo they are that name, political discussion of Nick Griffin could easily be dismissed as little more than school yard antics.  For a movement like anarchism that is stereotypically sick of labels, Nick Griffin offers a plethora of scary sounding words for an amusing change of pace in his article, carefully prepping his uninformed readers about this "racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic" anarchism.

Heres what the National Anarchists plan on doing according to Nick: "They are attempting to use anarchist symbolism and rhetoric to recruit both "White Nationalists" (WN, a catch-all term for the various kinds of white racists) as well as anarchists especially green anarchists to their strange belief system. They advocate a decentralized economic and political system which features ethnically-pure villages which are defined by racial separatism, anti-semitism and homophobia."

So by this bait and switch definition, National Anarchists are a combination of green, ecology-minded anarchists and white nationalists obsessing over racial separatism, dislike of Jews, and a heavy dose of homosexual anxiety. 

Let's respond to each accusation in kind. 

National Anarchists are indeed horrified by the ecological disaster we are witnessing.  Sustainable stewardship of the Earth's natural habitat and resources is something National Anarchists believe all people should share in common.  Those who misuse or destroy the environment deserve a swift and merciless response that such behavior is unacceptable.  Green Anarchists presume that they have the ideological answer on how to do this most effectively.  National Anarchists are genuinely sympathetic with many green anarchist ideas, but it is hard to take a group seriously which can't seem to agree with each other on most fundamental issues, let alone how to make an effective social alternative to capitalism with people who have nothing in common with each other.  But that's getting off subject, National Anarchism is an inclusive movement that is deeply allied with Green Anarchist ideals whither they like that or not, we're not going away, and our goals for ecological responsibility are very similar to each other. 

Next Nick has the gall to make accusations of anti-Semitism, quite disingenuous from a magazine- and the rest of the anarchist movement- that is sympathetic with the Palestinian struggle for justice.  Ultimately, Nick has an ulterior motive in using charges of anti-Semitism to promote his mythical portrait of National Anarchism.  He claims a monopoly on the anarchist movement lest his authority be challenged by individuals not impressed with his dogmas. Therefore he goes on the offensive and scapegoats those individuals with meaningless names for promoting the same thing that he and the rest of the broader anarchist movement take part in, i.e., a continuous criticism of Israel and it's supporters. 

By that definition, all anarchists could be called anti-Semitic by virtue of the fact that they challenge Israel's "right to exist" and identify the specific sources of support for Israel in Western societies.  Sorry if these truths are painful Nick, perhaps one day you'll have the courage to speak the truth yourself.

As for accusations of homophobia, sexual liberty between adults is a principal of National Anarchism that can't be shot down because Nick Griffin says it can.  All truth be told, each individual National Anarchist has their own views of the subject, it isn't the job of National Anarchists to act as moral police yobs. Troy Southgate, whom Nick misquotes at will throughout his article, is on the record for his adamant defense of homosexuals to live the life they choose to live. 

Lastly, politicized accusations of racism are never a black and white case as Nick desperately tries to prove.  National Anarchism places no special emphasis on race but on the identity of who people are, culturally and ethnically.  To deny people the right to identify themselves by their heritage is not just offensive, it's stupid.  In the prevailing thought control practices of liberal ideologues in Western societies to recognize that races exist is proof enough, ipso facto, for racism.  So in this case it must be remembered that this is coming from someone who really believes he can erase all the differences that make cultures different and special since the dawn of humanity.  Following this line of logic to it's natural conclusion: for Nick Griffin, different languages are proof of racism in it's most tangible form, it denies the human race's common humanity with arbitrary words, sounds, and meta-hierarchies based on ethnic, religious, and cultural identities in defiance of his dogma that everyone is exactly the same. 

Cultural identity, especially for Americans or Europeans is entirely racist for Nick Griffin for the same reasons: because he says it's so it must be true.  The same is true for racial groups, which as difficult as it is for him to admit they exist, for he is truly colorblind, but for those of us with access to the full spectrum of light can see it all quite easily.  National Anarchists on the other hand maintain that cultures are different.  National Anarchists maintain that cultures can and should be allowed to follow a destiny other then the one universal globalists like Nick Griffin have planned out for them.  This doesn't make cultural superiority complexes an inherent trait (which is ultimately the liberal rationale of annihilating all cultures through globalization and cultural genocide) but it doesn't mean allowing individuals with a culture of which they are proud and willing to fight for the right to exist will be intimated by name calling.

Finally Nick provides his "true" version of anarchism for the unenlightened, "Anarchists seek the abolition of all hierarchies on the basis of our common humanity not a separatism based on ethnic, religious or sexual identity."  The retreat to dogma that has no basis in human reality cannot be a successful retreat.  Since the most name calling from so-called anti-civilization primitivists can accomplish is create fear, uncertainty, and doubt, there is little they can do but promote their own concocted anachronism promoting instead a universal non reality.  National Anarchists celebrate differences in the same way that Nick Griffin hates them.  His banner with which to unite all mammals that walk upright is "common humanity," a buzzword concocted to have an emotional appeal like common sense.  What it denies is that human beings and National Anarchists share humanity not by annihilating ethnicities, nationalities, religions, or sexual preferences as Nick Griffin suggests, but by allowing each the right  to choose right for themselves, from each according to their own desire.

He continues, "In any event, most NAs seem obsessed with watching and deprecating the more orthodox racist factions, as if they were somehow not just as much a part of the white power circus. But if people appear in your scene sporting the National Anarchist symbol (a purple star with an NA in the middle), or attempt to promote the setting up of separate ethnic villages, know that these people are not talking about a new kind of anarchism, but just a very old and obscure style of fascism. If you encounter these people, don't be fooled by the surface similarities; treat them as if they were Klan members or Nazis. The only difference is that this time, instead of pointy hats and braces, their racist ideas come dressed in a hoodie and patches."

"Intolerance is a sign of impotence," Aleister Crowley once wryly said.  Since ethnic villages are obviously equivalents of Nazism and the KKK in Nick Griffins Disneyland-style imagination, expect the evil National Anarchists to wear racism on their hoodies(!), and by hiding occult fascism by being anti-capitalist and anti-Marxist... much like anarchists.  So in other words, whatever you do, do not allow people the right to think for themselves about what kind of life they want to live and with whom, that's what Nick Griffin is here to do for you.  Shown in his true colors, Nick Griffin's verbal blinders that try to obscure the social consequences of his ideology essentially remains a tacit approval for the social agenda of neo-liberalism and neo-conservative system of mental and political domination.  By aligning his movement with the multiculturalists he ensures that anarchism as a way of life will never be possible unless the kind of tumultuous disaster that enveloped Cambodia in the 1970's sounds appealing.  Although Nick Griffin may not support the murderous agenda of other social Marxists, his rhetoric can only be assumed to justify the genocidal project to consume cultural identities into an all encompassing meaningless abstraction, the all mighty common humanity.  In summary there's nothing radical to see here, please move along.

Since the watershed moment of the 1999 protest of the WTO in Seattle it has been taken for granted that the anti-globalization movement is a Left-wing movement by both the Left themselves and various commentators.  That the anti-globalization movement has completely and utterly failed to realize any of it's ill-defined goals during the following years is all to obvious.  At the current time of radical organizing, rhetoric has replaced activism, the Internet has replaced protest, and callous infighting has replaced the once seemingly powerful united front of interest groups referred to as the anti-globalization movement.  In retrospect, it appears that the seeds of it's failure was present in the very beginning.  Those reasons are not at first obvious but an analysis of Left-wing dogmas and myths will become obvious to anyone with eyes to see.  
 
I. The Anti-Globalization that doesn't work

Throughout the world today many truths are to be self evident.  The Marxist dogma that is the most widespread is  that all the workers of the world are united in class interests, which in the words of contemporary liberalism translates into the myth that "everyone is equal."  This logically leads to a universal, albeit global, interest in causes and struggles that may be extremely remote from participants everyday life, such as the Zapatistas in Mexico or the Buddhist monks of Myanmar as having an existential meaning for progressive movements based in the United States and Europe.  The viewpoint of anti-globalists, with some justification, is that the remote far away struggle for freedom is an impetus of local activists to "do something" about it.  It has been the anti-globalists contention that the imperialist spread of capital, war, and ecological destruction of the planet can be averted through the will of a multicultural effort to end injustice.  In real world terms this translates activists reading a few articles about the subject and going on to impress ones friends in conversation with how knowledgeable one is with progressive struggles abroad.  In short, doing nothing.

My goal is not to criticize what anti-globalists say, but rather what underlies the big picture of what they do, the causes they choose to support, and how ultimately the contradiction between what they say and what they do is of no consequence due to the self defeating ideology they impose on themselves. 

Whereas liberals appeal to minorities has always been self serving at best, National Anarchists allow all groups their own place and each culture is allowed it's own legitimate connection to itself.  Unlike liberalism that sells out minorities interests faster than yesterdays old horse, as the sorry state of affairs of African Americans in the United States clearly demonstrates, National Anarchism works for all people, each unto their own.

What liberals, and by extension, many in the anti-globalist movement fail to recognize is that lip service to the oppressed of every culture of the world in the vain hope of garnering their sympathy plays into the hands of the ruling class, in particular the neo-liberals without doing anything to actually help those people.  All it takes is a talking head of the status quo to appeal for money or "action" to be done and by fiat the liberal left has done it's social duty.  The bedrock of this duty is the ultimate outsourcing of true social change, a sort of globalization in action, a method and ethos whose values are accepted as culturally superior to culturally unified countries and people who solve social problems themselves.  Ubiquitous statements such as "diversity is strength" is the watchword of twenty-first century newspeak.  Someone must of decided that it sounds nicer then saying: your culture is weak. 

To ghettoize the interests of a nations own national, cultural, and political interests, requires the demonization of it's true heritage and the erasing from political memory any alternative political system.  In the United States this has already happened. What once had a powerful political following and widespread cultural validity, e.g. States rights, libertarianism, or cultural pride in the Old West and events such as remembering the Alamo, are treated as anachronisms today.    

This then can be considered the fatal flaw in how the Left-wing challenges imperialism, by racing to ease oppression of all people they help none.  Reduced to promoting a token resistance of feel good political activism, they are intellectually and politically neutered by the capitalist system that turns these radicals into their own mouth piece at best, and centerists at worst.   Anti-globalization turns out the kind of people who are not pro-anything at all.

II. The farce of opposition

So intellectually neutralized, aptly summed up in the phrase "think globally, act locally," no truly radical movement is able to breakout of the dogmas inherent to the capitalist system: anti-globalization becomes nothing more then a symptom of consumer indigestion.

With a movement that leads back to nowhere, anti-globalization and it's twin the anti-war movement represent the long tail of social dissatisfaction.  With the movement going nowhere it will ultimately be left up to globalist leaders to partially represent the anti-globalist agenda, which figures like Bill Clinton or Al Gore do currently, that is, herding the proletariat into it's new role, culturally divided and intellectually conquered, into the globalist society in which the interests of the all are subsumed by the interests of the few.  The aegis of those who place their hope on leaders are those unaware of their own power.  Resistance to globalization starts with a new nationalism, a nationalism that represents what it truly is instead of something it is not, as in the case of empire.  Resistance to globalization is ultimately a cultural resistance, a culture that is strong enough to stand up for it's own autonomy and independence and not fear stigmata of being called names and doubt in it's own right to exist as a sovereign free people.  What is so striking about the celebrities of the anti-globalization movement, such as the Zapatistas, is that the actions they were compelled to take for their own nation (that is, cultural identity) has been almost completely obfuscated by the Left-wing leaders of the anti-globalization movement who tend to admire hero's like this from afar rather then do anything heroic themselves.  These are not people making rational decisions of what  community interests are.  On the contrary, these people publish numerous words when what is called for is vigorous action.

III. It's time to Pay your Bill

The Left-wing has failed and will continue to fail to reach any of the goals it has set out from itself because it denies autonomy to peoples, freedom of speech, social responsibility, and even it's own cultural reality for an ephemeral, ultimately meaningless token resistance to capitalism.  Unlike protest mongers on the left, National Anarchists propose solutions that work by appealing to all members of society whose ultimate uniting interest is autonomy, freedom to be who they are, freedom from debt, and free in spirit.  With this goal ever in mind we will break the back of the capitalist system by refusing it's currency, denying every aspect of it's legitimacy, and building a movement to replace the hollow empire.

It's time we remember what it is like to be strong.
