Lame, "Subversion," not Sexism, in "Internet Culture" or how to get that Doctorate

Normally I don't give two cents about anything coming out of New York City, let alone one of it's universities.  But here is an article I found that expresses the new formula on how to get a Ph.d at New York University

3. PROFIT!!!

This is the common theme in "white privilege" and/or white guilt complex so popular among academia today.  The article linked to is a synopsis of a talk given by a NYU graduate student shows how mindless one has to be to get a Ph.d.  No wait, I meant a talk given at an Internet culture conference (they need Ph.d's for that?).  So here is the explanation I'm sure has been heard by millions about in just about every other context of culture, history, economics, race, and sexuality, applied to the Internet (and blogs):

"Internet culture can be very sexist, homophobic and racist... Popular blogs are all written by white guys"

What a woefully daft diatribe.  This sounds more like a latent case of a sexist, racist, hate monger herself.  Stupidity passing itself off for expert opinion can be found in this wired link.
