Sean Bell and the Shame of New York City

Earlier this week three NYC police officers were acquitted in the wrongful death of groom-to-be Sean Bell then 23 years old.  Sean was killed during a stakeout of a strip club police were investigating for prostitution.  Killed in a hail of 50 bullets, police gave the order to shoot when one of their number said he saw a gun and when it was all over no gun could be found.  We at the BANA network condemn this vile protectionism of the NYC police department.  It's obvious that residents of NYC live under two parallel governments, one for the police, and then another one for everybody else.  More details of the horrendous details can be found here.
